Push Notifications

CWLite sends push notifications to your iPhone when customers update tickets you're assigned to or subscribed to.

Enabling Notifications

  1. When you first open CWLite, you'll be asked to allow notifications — tap Allow
  2. If you previously denied notifications, go to Settings > Notifications > CWLite on your iPhone and enable them

What Triggers a Notification

You'll receive a notification when:

  • A customer updates a ticket you're assigned to
  • A note is added to a ticket you're subscribed to
  • A ticket status changes on a subscribed ticket
  • You're assigned to a new ticket

Note

Internal notes from your team do not trigger push notifications — only customer-facing updates do.

Subscribing to Tickets

You can subscribe to specific tickets to receive notifications even if you're not the assigned technician:

  1. Open the ticket in the CWLite app
  2. Tap the Subscribe button
  3. You'll now receive notifications for any updates to that ticket

To unsubscribe, open the ticket and tap Unsubscribe.

Managing Notifications

  • View all notifications in the Notifications tab of the app
  • Mark as read by tapping on a notification
  • Notifications link directly to the relevant ticket

Notification Preferences

You can enable or disable push notifications from within the CWLite app settings without affecting other notification settings on your device.

Troubleshooting

Not receiving notifications

  1. Check Settings > Notifications > CWLite on your iPhone — notifications must be enabled
  2. Ensure you're signed in to CWLite — signing out deregisters your device
  3. Check your internet connection — notifications require an active connection to Apple's push service
  4. Try signing out and back in to re-register your device

Receiving too many notifications

  • Unsubscribe from tickets you no longer need to follow
  • Notifications are only sent for customer-facing updates, not internal team activity

Notifications stopped after an app update

Sign out and sign back in to re-register your device token with the push notification service.
